Iina Harmu is a Finnish, London-based, aspiring director working with narrative fiction. She has studied Anthropology at the University of Helsinki and Documentary Film at University College London before embarking on a career in directing fiction. She loves stories driven by absurd, comical, and eccentric characters, as well as awkward situations and embarrassing encounters. Previously, she has worked in film production with major broadcasters, including Sky and Channel 4, as well as streaming platforms such as Netflix and Paramount+. She’s currently working on a short film for the Finnish broadcaster Yle.
